Arrow Antenna are the best I have ever found -- in performance, quality, durability, uniqueness of design and precision craftsmanship -- each one is truly a work of art. I'm heavily involved in emergency communications, public service events and amateur radio demonstrations. I carry several Arrow Antenna in the back of my truck at all times; they get used 4 to 8 times a month. I've never found any other antenna that can withstand the use and abuse my Arrow Antennas endure -- and they're amazingly affordable.Wes Wilson, K0HBZ President, Mountain Amateur Radio Club (MARC) Assistant Emergency Coordinator, Pikes Peak ARES Woodland Park, CO Editors Note: Wes has bought at least 30 J146/440. He started the Bulk 10 Pack. |

I know that most buy an Arrow Antenna, put it up and that's the last you here from them, well I have used the Antenna for the last 6 or so months and I have to say of all the junk I have paid for, your Antenna is one thing I would buy again. Best money I ever spent on my radio equipment. I use it with a Kenwood TM 707G and it is perfect! And the way you treat your customers is great. It is one of the first things in the last say 15 years that I have got out of the box and it went together (with all the parts) like it should! With that said. I wish you and your family and company a very Mary Christmas. Michael Shampine SR N9PLG |

I have had some time to play with the j-pole antenna I bought from you. It was a breeze to assemble, that is a good thing! I am in a real bad spot to get out of with almost anything, but the little j-pole has allowed me to hit a 2m repeater I can't get with the same power on a cushcraft antenna. I also can get one or two of the local 440 repeaters that I wasn't able to get before. It may not seem much but it is to me. I am very happy with the antenna! Thank you for your attention to my order and the toimely delivery. 73's David A. Balise KB1HAV |

Thanks for your reply. Your comments confirm some additional information I'd gathered about j-poles in general this afternoon. I might also add that it not only 'works pretty good for no gain' on FM voice, but it also worked 'pretty good' for me with full AM ATV (not VSB) a couple of years back when I needed omni TV coverage on 434MHz, no less. The J146/440 I've had since 1999 is currently on my packet system; I can connect to just about any packet system in town from 15' up at 1/3 watt... yeah, it works pretty good for no gain. 73, Phil |

Several months ago I purchased a J146/440 J-Pole to be used with my shop radio. I wanted an antenna which would not only work well but would be somewhat stealthy. The J-Pole is mounted on a roof vent and with it's size it is barely visible. The performance is worth twice the price, it really works well ! Recently I installed an A/B switch in line and installed a packet station. Packet performance is equally great and now I am wondering why I spent almost 5 times the amount for my main vertical antenna. I thought you may be interested with feedback from the field. Hello- I purchased a model J146/440 in February and just wanted to drop you a line to say how pleased I am. I've made simplex contacts over 80 miles with the antenna at 20 ft and 50w input. Construction is superb. I live in a wind tunnel here in southern Colorado, between two mountain ranges. 80+ mph winds are common. I think this house would blow away before your antenna would! Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price. Tom Bridges KC0PBN Walsenburg, CO |
